Internal server error on Tibco Application having a Virtual Server IP with associated pool members?
We are facing an issue. We created a virtual server with IP 10.50.171.8:80 & 10.50.171.8:443 both on HTTP & HTTPS on F5 LTM. LTM is connected to Cisco Nexus on L2 trunks 10G and Nexus is connected to Oracle Exa-Logic machines on which VMs are deployed and acting as servers.
There is an associated pool with this VS along with a health monitor and 2 pool members are associated to the pool. Pool members are deployed as VM in an Oracle Exa-Logic Machine.
When we ping to VS IP and pool members IP they all respond from the client LAN network and if we ping from the nexus switch it reply positively + the traceroute response is also there of pool members from the client IT LAN and within from the Nexus switch as well.
Pool members serving a Telecom IN based service of Postpaid data service. The client getting an error of HTTP code : 500 Internal server error message...
Does it means the web application internal coding issue or web application other issues...... As network is fine. Also kindly help why the F5 LTM not respond by default to traceroute command instead it respond to ping command positively....
Virtual Server is UP in F5 LTM and pool members are also UP ....

The 500 is coming from the application server itself.

as Brad mentioned, 500 could be from server. you can run tcpdump/ssldump to see.
