Installing Cluster F5
Hi all, I looking for persons who have already replaced or who know how to replace TMG to F5 (LTM and/or ASM) within datacenter ? Today, our TMG work like a reverse proxy, there is just firewall policy configured in.
A technician in my group said to me that I will need 3 VLAN and @ IP
“ Vlan Management, Floating External and Vlan External ”
Why I will need these vlan and IP addresses ?
Thanks for your help

A BigIP has its dedicated management interface, and its strongly recommended to use that one to manage (GUI,SSH) your device. So that's your network management VLAN, 1 IP per device. If you are planning a one-arm deployment, you need then one VLAN for the data traffic and minimum one IP ("self-IP"). I would recommend to use an additional (or more) IP for the service(s) -> (kind of "listeners"). The Floating IP is necessary if you are installing a BIGIP cluster. It's a "VIP".
