Installing BIG-IP v11 on second-hand device

Hi all,       I'd like to ask if anybody tried to install the new v11 software on the used big-ip box that you can buy on the eBay etc. (of cource if the model supports v11, i.e. 6400 with 4G...

I wonder if you can take the box licenced for 9.x version, and upgrade it to 10.x and then to 11.0 with the original base registration key. The licencing website (activate.f5.com) does only require the Dossier from the box, no login or contract is needed.active contract is needed unless existing service check date is later than license check date.
