Installation Problem Fatal Error:1603

Hi,

 

 

I am getting the following error message when trying to install the F5 MP on SCOM 2007 R2

 

 

FatalError: msi failed to run with exit code: 1603

 

 

I have included the setup log and system information file. I confirmed the .NET 2.0 SP2, 3.0 SP2, and 3.5 SP1 are installed on the server. The account I am using has full admin rights to the server, SCOM, and SQL 2005 SP2. It goes as far as reating the database and appears to be happy right up to the end of the process where it fails with the error noted above.

 

 

I am not sure where I need to go from here. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Nevermind, I was able to figure it. I re-ran the installer after running after running the SystemInformation.PS1 script and was successful. I suspect the problem occurred because PowerShell had never been opened on the server prior to the F5 MP install. I have seen that issue with other installers that make powershell calls.

    From reviewing the setup log, it looks as though the F5 Management Pack failed to import within the 5 minute timeout window, and setup consequently reported the failure.
