Initialize-F5.iControl - PermissionDenied when using the Floating IP
Hi all,
I'm experiencing a super strange error lately.
I've been using the iControlSnapIn (v13.1.0) component for almost a year now in order to disable/enable pool members in F5. Since we have two F5 devices (one active and one inactive for fail over purposes), we've configured a floating IP in F5 which will always point to the active device (whichever one it is at the time) and that's the IP I've been using when initializing the F5 iControl.
With the last round of windows updates (patches) on all our servers, the server I'm running these commands on, started failing with "PermissionDenied" errors. If I roll the patches back, everything works fine again, if I roll the patches forward, it fails again.
Not patching our servers isn't really an option, so I'm trying to understand the problem. With me investigating, I found that if I use the device IP instead of the floating IP it works, so the problem is partly because of the floating IP. Obviously using the device IP won't work in the long run as we fail over between the devices intermittently.
Does anyone have any advice for me on this?
Thanks! Sean
