How can I import the zone list from one GTM Ver 9.3.0 to a GTM Ver 10.2.3?
I need to import a lot of zones so it would be desirable to migrate all the zones in an easy way.

Aug 15, 2013Look at taking the zone files from the old system. They will be in /var/named/config/namedb You should then be able to import them into your new system using zrsh. zrsh is not very friendly and the documentation is worse, but the azf (addzonefile) command should help. You could also look at taking the relevent parts out of the old /var/named/config/named.conf file and adding them directly into the file on the new system with a text editor.

Come to think of it, you can import zones with "rndc addzone" as well. That might be easier than zrsh. - Rene_125890Aug 15, 2013

Hi Uni. I'm going to try it. By the way, how do I have to use the rndc addzone command? thanks for your help - uniAug 15, 2013

I haven't actually tried it. I just saw that after I wrote my initial response. It is part of BIND, which is running on the BigIP. The first result from googling "rndc addzone" looks useful.
