IMAP,POP3 Health Monitor setup issue
Hi all,
i am fairly new to F5 and trying to setup a health monitor for a node with POP3 and IMAP services.
i am using the IMAP and POP3 template available in F5.
i supplied it with all the information required but it just checks for few mins and then fails.
can someone please guide me on this.
Thanks, Sudhir

Try enabling the (advanced options) debug checkbox on the monitor, and then inspect the log file in /var/log/monitors. That should tell you what's going on, and why it was marked down.
- Kindly try the following command, to see the exact reason for the monitor marking down the pool member.
- root@(hostname)(cfg-sync Standalone)(Active)(/Common)(tmos.ltm) show node x.x.x.x detail
-
Also, as suggested - use debug and also look at monitor logs to see the exact reason behind failure.
**var/log/monitors** - Locate the Monitor and its .log file to see the logs.

Make sure you are IMAP and POP3 are deployed in non-secure fashion in your setup. Secure IMAP and POP3 are best monitored using external monitor.
