Image Upgrade from 11.6.1 to 12.1.2

Hello Experts,

 

I need to upgrade the image on HA pair LTMs from BIGIP-11.6.1.0.0.317 to BIGIP-12.1.2.0.0.249. My plan is to upgrade the standby device first then do it in the primary device.

 

Is there any other problems or issues that I need to expect when I do this activity? do I need to reconfigure anything when I do a major version upgrade?

    So far not observed any issue. I will suggest you to go with 

    F5 V12.1.2 HF2
    , which has latest bug fixed.

      And to save some time ...

       

      Upload both the 12.1.2 base image and the 12.1.2 HF2 hotfix image to the device. Then select the 12.1.2 HF2 Hotfix for installation - the base image will be automatically installed, then the hotfix applied.

       

      Only requires one upgrade operation.
