Jan 21, 2009Illegal pattern in object
I'm studying a Request Violation of this type in ASM 9.3.1. It was triggered by the "Bad Suffix 13" RegExp Name.
I was surprised to see that ASM does not highlight the specific string in the object which triggered the violation. As I was doing some research in how to deal with this class of problem, I ran across SOL8262 Click here which references "the RegExp Validator". According to the "Applies To" box of the SOL, the article applies to the ASM version I am running. However I can find no other reference to this phantom "RegExp validator".
I tried using a couple I found with Google without any success. In fact the first validator that appears in the search list fails with a syntax error after pasting in the Bad Suffix 13 regex string. Anyone know what validator this article refers to? Does anyone ever find a need to validate which string is triggering a negative regular expression? If so, how do you do it - or am I just not as good reading regex as you?
