IE Chunk Encoding Work Around
Hi All,
It seems IE has an issue with Chuck Encoding. Basically it will fail to load a javascript on the first access thereby requiring a refresh. Is there a way to use an i-Rule to produce a work around?
More info:
This does not happen if we use the default http profile only when we use the http-wan-optimized-compression profile. This also does not happen if we access the web servers directly and bypassing the F5.
While running WireShark on the IE client (this also does not happen in FireFox) not all but some of the javascript files the type is shown as text/plain and others are text/javascript. But when going to the web servers directly all are shown as text/javascript.
It seems that this problem started when we upgrade from IBM WebSphere 6.0.19 to 6.0.23 fix pack.... We have been using the default wan-optimized-compression profiles for 6+ months just fine and right after the fix pack update this problem started.
Thanks in advance,
Sami

- We found a work around to our compression problems. By using URI compression to filter out .js files instead of Content compression the pages seem to load with no problem.
