IE 6 will not load Certificate page

Hello,

Here is a new one. On IE6 users cannot load any of our https://domain.com pages. Did something changed in the upgrade to 10.0

Thanks

  • What are the symptoms of the problem? Have you been able to reproduce the issue? Can you capture a tcpdump of a failure? If you need help capturing or analyzing a tcpdump, you can check SOL411 on AskF5 and/or open a case with F5 Support.

  • I too have this problem since upgrading to version 10. But it only impacts 3 of our https web sites. If we use Firefox or version IE 7 or greater all of our web apps work fine, however if we use IE 6 some of them fail. Support case is opened but they don't know the answer as of yet. If anyone has come across the solution for this let me know!
  • When you say the 3 https web sites fail, what are the symptoms? Does the SSL handshake fail, does the client get an unchained cert warning, etc?

    Thanks,

  • There is no SSL error. I will have to do an SSL test to see if that is where the problem is as we rolled back to version 9.3. The error is just page cannot be displayed. I will provide more info on this depending on what support states and when we boot to the partition with version 10 again, we will do more SSL testing.

    Thanks,

  • while working with an F5 consultant on another issue, she found cases open with support for the same problem and a fix that worked for other users. We will implement this fix and then update this thread if it works. The fix is to enable the ssl option under ssl profiles "don't insert empty fragments".

    Thanks,
