iControl update data-group-file

What is the iControl way of updating a data-group-file ?
So this would be the analog of the tmsh command :
tmsh modify ltm data-group external dg1 source-path file:///config/...
I'm also thinking that PowerShell might not be necessary here. Does anyone have experience with *nix scripts that connect to f5 and run tmsh commands ?
