https without iRules or iApps
I have Exchange webmail passing through the F5. Users need to insert https:// before the url to access, previous to going through the F5 only the url without https was necessary. How can I ensure that the https would not be necessary? I am not using irules or iApps for Exchange.
create a vip with port 80 and use the irule to redirect from http to https.
as long as you have a VIP on 443 for webmail, you should be good and clients don't need to remember to use https.
thx

Your suggestion will still work even if only the URL (without http or https) is inserted, correct?

correct as browser will attempt HTTP first.
thx
