HTTP to HHTPS redirect VIP & Persistence profile

Just wondering whether it is necessary to have a persistence profile configured on an HTTP VIP which is only redirecting to the HTTPS VIP???

 

I presume it is not but just wanted to confirm :-)

    If the only thing it is doing is an HTTP redirect to the HTTPS VIP, then no persistence profile is required.

    Persistence is used to ensure the client is sent to the same pool member over multiple connections. If there isn't a pool, there's no need for persistence.
