HTTP to HHTPS redirect VIP & Persistence profile

Just wondering whether it is necessary to have a persistence profile configured on an HTTP VIP which is only redirecting to the HTTPS VIP???   I presume it is not but just wanted to confirm :-)  ...

If the only thing it is doing is an HTTP redirect to the HTTPS VIP, then no persistence profile is required.
