HTTP Monitor to forward traffic on HTTPS
Hi,
I currently work as part of an IIS team.
We have setup a healthcheck website which is running on port 80.
The main application website is running on port 443.
We set the healthcheck site to return status 200 when we want the main site to receive traffic, and change the status to 404 when we want the main website taking out of service.
We want the F5 to probe/monitor the healthcheck website on port 80 and send traffic to the main website on 443 if it receives a status 200.
According to our F5 team this is not possible as probes/monitors must be setup on the same ports as the main website. Can anyone confirm if this is correct? If it's not correct, can anyone advise me on what I can feed back to our f5 guys?
Thanks Garth
