you can disable 'strict-updates' to modify an configuration object that is under control by an iApp. Be sure to read the article below, which explains the impact of disabling this setting.

Here is where to find the 'strict-updates' setting:
Log in to the Configuration utility.
Navigate to iApps > Application Services and click the name of the affected application service.
Click the Properties tab.
Select Advanced from the drop-down menu.
Clear the check box next to Strict Updates.
Click Update.
Re-enable Strict Updates when modifications are complete, so updates to the template propagate to the application service.
