how to monitor pool with all service ?
Hi , i'm searching about if I have pool with node for all service , how can i monitor it , when I put one monitor it will have issue that all service will be down if the monitor service down ?
is there any idea ,

it may be easier to have a VS/pool for each service, I assume if a service goes down you will want traffic to go to another pool member? Otherwise you'll either have the pool member go down if 1 service goes down and you only have 1 monitor or you can have multiple monitors but then you may have services down but the pool member up...

I am confronted with the same problem, have also a lot of tcp ports. Did you get any other suggestions ? At this moment I am thinking about making a specific monitor that will monitor one port with tcp-half-open. Will send update when tested. - nag_54823

i don't think so , there is any other way other than icmp monitor in this case. - Willy

Sorry for the late answer, but still not tested the icmp monitor. As long as only one server is in the pool and load balancing is not needed, I will not proceed with the test. Service is monitored by application checking on the virtual address.
