How to configure F5 automatically backup configuration with NCM SolarWind?

Hi all,

 

We have a VIRPION (with 6 virtual load balancers).

 

I want to configure automatic backup to save my configuration to my SolarWinds.

 

Can you tell me the procedure to do this?

 

Is necessary configure any script in my F5? In where? What configuration is necessary in NCM v7.1 of my SolarWinds?

    generally speaking, you could always use this procedures, but you need to check whether your NCM is able to run them:

     

    • open SSH connection to BIG-IP
    • run tmsh /sys ucs
    • open SCP/SFTP to BIG-IP
    • get/download the UCS

    I think that this procedure is manual, isn´t it?

     

    Is necessary to do an script in F5 to do this automatically?

     

    How NCM (SolarWinds) gets the ucs file?

     

    If can be possible I need an explication with more details.
