How to check number of connections on the server/pool

Hi     I want to redirect traffic to a differnt location based on number of connections in a pool. This is to handle the high traffic situation gracefully. Please, help.   Thanks.

The best way to go about this would likely be to set the Connection Limit option within the Virtual Server, rather than addressing this via an iRule.
