How to calculate VE performance

Hi,

 

I tried to find a way to calculate theoretical performance of VE (so to compare to device performance for example) but there seems to be only few very generic SOLs or articles.

 

For each hardware device there are performance numbers available (like L4/L7 performance) but not for VE. I am not looking for SSL performance but just concurrent connections or connections per second or iRule performance.

 

So I wonder if how to do that knowing number of vCPU, RAM and speed of host processor (and number of cores if it matters). I am curious as well how networking gear on host can influence possible performance - like having support for SR-IOV, TSO, LRO/GRO.
