How many Float IP need to assign?
Hi Everybody,
I've some question about Float IP address deployment.
I've deploy BIG-IP 4200 V. 11.4.1 LTM modules in redundant pair One-arm mode (with 2 traffic group and 2 VLANS)
How many Float IP need to assign?
--- I think 4 Float IP (2 with each traffic group and each VLANS) Am I wrong?
and If I have 8 traffic group deploy in two-arm mode
How many Float IP need to assign? 16?
Thank you very much

You'll need two IPs per VLAN, plus a third floating IP (for the traffic group). So, for two VLANs that's 6. For 8 VLANs, that's 24.

You'll need a unique self IP for the other device in the HA pair no?

Did I must assign Float ? anyway
Can I just using Self IP?

Self IP are IP for each device. And floating IP is the VIP for your cluster.
So you need 2 Self and 1 Floating IP for each VLAN.
