NimbostratusHow do I license a Linerate standby system?
I recently purchased a Linerate subscription and have successfully activated it, but it's not clear at all how to activate a standby system. I'm planning on running a normal active/standby setup using CARP, but other than the network configuration needed, there is absolutely zero information as to how to actually license the system. Can someone help me understand this?

From your message it appears you have been able to successfully activate the Active LineRate system (similar to Activating a Purchased License in the docs) but are having issues getting the Backup LineRate activated.
Each LineRate system operating requires its own unique RegKey. Purchased licenses include two of these RegKeys to allow your Active and Standby systems to operate properly. Take a look at the information sent with your purchase to find these RegKeys. If something doesn't appear correct, let us know and we can investigate further.

Daniel_Beckham_Ah, I mostly ignored those emails as I had already registered the system and had only needed to purchase the subscription. The second regkey was in the email and it's now registered. Thanks for you quick reply.- Not a problem. Glad we could get you up and running quickly!
