Hostname Changing on BIG-IP v 12.1.1

Hi Guys,

 

Please, I need to know if changing the hostname of the BIG-IP system affects the functionality at overall (e.g SSL operations... etc ).

 

also, I've found this article that describes the relation betwenn changing hostname and device name for a member of a device group, but this ablicable up to v11.6 while I have v 12.1.1, how can I get confirmation?

    If you mean SSL operations at a VIP level then changing the bigip hostname won't affect this as this is configured at the SSL profile level.

     

    As for your second query, I imagine this is just that the doc hasn't been updated yet. I suspect issues/caveats etc. will be same in v12.
