NimbostratusHigh CPU in F5 LTM
Dear All,
We have one SSL offloading VS which enables an access to one of the core application in customer environment, during the load test we found CPU utilization of F5 has gone to 100% , without any error logs in /var/log/ltm .At the same time the server team have not reported any abnormalities from their end. Any suggestions would be appreciated ?
We were also noticed that , during high CPU all the connections went into hung mode.

What is the hardware model and the BIG-IP version that you are using? Is this a Virtual F5?

What kind of load test you are using ?
solaikumar_1217Hi Amanpreet, I am not sure about the tools they are using to test. anyways it seems to be stable now post upgrade.
Vijith_182946Hi Solai, Couple of things required to answer your query, as like any hardware what version, hotfix, module, process is taking high CPU utilization etc. I would switch into bash mode and fire 'top' command (and ps) acnd check the the process which is using high CPU..once you identified the process then hit that process and investigate further..
