Hairpin routing between partitions.
Hi we have an F5 with two partitions.
HTTPS request are received by a VS in partition 1 on 10.1.1.10:443 and have SNAT enabled. The pool contains a node which is a VS on the same F5 in partition 2.
the Network 10.3.1.0/24 has a self IP defined in Partition 2 and it's VLAN is allocated to Partition 2 also. the Network 10.2.1.0/24 is also allocated to Partition 2.
192.168.1.1 is the default gw for TMM and is in the Common Partition.
The reason why we do this is because the application running behind Partition 1 will send traffic to many servers via an iRule.
Does anyone know of a way I can have the F5 route between the networks without having to go out via the default gateway? (Given the VLANs are assigned to different partitions?)
thanks Richard.
