GTM persistence on wide ip and on wide ip pool
Hello Guys
Can anyone please explain me difference between GTM persistence on wide ip and persistence on wide ip pool?
there seems to be so much of confusion over it.
by default on wide ip - Persistence TTL is 3600secs
and on wide ip pool TTL is 30 secs.
how these options make difference when local dns server send dns queries to GTM?

I am guessing you are using 10.x code ? I am not able to see TTL in WIP in 11.x

Wide IP persistence is for how long GTM will respond with the same IP to the client/client DNS server queries. Pool TTL tells client how often run DNS queries. In case one of the pool members fails. In other words client will resolve DNS record every 30 seconds but only after 3600 seconds client will "possibly" get another pool member IP. ****************************************** Thanks for link and answer Does that mean only after 3600 secs client will get new dns ans and for every 30 secs client will get same wide ip until 3600secs timer times out?
