GTM Feature
Hello every one,
At first I want say that, I know answer for the question I am asking. But just want to share technical issue with you that I faced in production environment.
So the Scenario/ question: GTM WideIP is configured with two pools as primary and last resort. because of network glitch GTM lost connectivity with primary pool, so traffic started serving by last resort pool. This network glitch is only for 13 sec and was happening frequently. As per the standard GTM configuration, Primary pool should came up as connection restores. But it was not coming up. Even after connection restore, GTM kept primary pool down.
Can any one please answer this why this happened?
There was Severity 1 call for this issue.

Hi Amit,
Go to pool member and enable it. it will start serving traffic.
Manually you have to enable it.

Hi Samir, Thanks for your reply.
Obviously after enabling pool it will start serving traffic, but the question is why this happened? Why it not came UP automatically after connection restore ?

Amit,
Manual resume option must have configured with GTM Pool. So connection doesn't restore automatically. You need to enable it manually every time whenever require.

Symantec GTM has this configuration. 2 pools are configured separately with primary DC VS and secondary DC VS. at WIP level primary DC VS is selected as primary pool and secondary as last resort. manual resume is enabled in primary pool per client requirement. if you can disable it at pool level for permanently, pool will come up automatically and GTM will return primary DC IP. Or you have to enable it manually. Didn't why this could be the reason for sev1, when everyone knows option of manually enabling pool in GTM??
