GTM - Deployment Question

I know the rule of them in regards to GTM has been to deploy it as standalone and not in an HA config. Is that still the case in V11 and if so, what is the reasoning behind that? Thanks in advance!...

We're calling it BIG-IP DNS now.

 

Traditionally GTM is deployed in active/active/active scenarios rather than the active/standby LTM paradigm. Today we have Device Service Clustering which can support many complex one-to-many failover scenarios that were previously impossible. A quick DevCentral and AskF5 search didn't turn up very much in the way of having a GTM running standby.

 

Normally you would list all of your GTMs as nameservers for your domain(s). What would be the point of having some not responding?
