Generate test SNMP-TRAPS from BIG-IQ
How to generate snmp traps for testing from a BIG-IQ system.I used the below command using F5 reference documents. to do the same thing on an F5 BIG-IP system. logger -p local0.emerg "010d0005:0: Chassis fan 1: status (0) is bad"
but as BIG-IQ is a different type of OS, i don't know what applies here. Could not find anything on the internet search either. Can someone help. I need to generate some test traps from the BIG-IQ to tick off the SNMP monitoring testing for one of my projects.
Thanks in advance.

The only BIG-IQ specific traps are around managed devices becoming available and unavailable. There are underlying traps based on the fact that BIG-IQ is built on top of TMOS.

Should be the same command. I just tested in BIGIP 11.5.0 and BIG-IQ 5.0.0, and the command gives the same output.
These links have information about the base system and third party for BIG-IP:

I could not find equivalent for BIG-IQ, but both BIG-IP 11.5.0 and BIG-IQ 5.0.0 have similar Linux kernel. Kernel el6, that means Red Hat Enterprise Linux, so CentOS without Red Hat stuff.
