FTP issue with requests being denied
My customer contacted me saying that they were having FTP connections rejected when in actuallity they should have been being load balanced over 5 servers. We were running a fairly large report (~19,000 print jobs) and it started rejecting most of the ftp connection that were attempting to send the jobs over for processing.
I am not seeing any errors in the ltm logs but am looking for advice on what to check or how to turn up some logging on this WIP/VIP/pool/nodes thru the F5?

Hi Shane,
You should be able to use an iRule to gather some information. I would suggest going here:
Specifically look at the "IP" Events. I think these events will give you the information you are looking for.
CLIENT_ACCEPTED, CLIENT_CLOSED, SERVER_CONNECTED, SERVER_CLOSED
Hope this helps.

if reject means tcp reset and you are running 10.2.3 or later, you may try to log tcp reset cause.

and of course tcpdump can be useful in cases like this: http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/0000/400/sol411.html
