I am currently running v9.4.1 and need an irule that will be able to use an FTP profile when FTP traffic hits the virtual server but disable the rule when FTP traffic is not present. This should allow for me to SSH, Telnet, or anything else to the server when FTP is not present, but when FTP traffic is present then use the profile. Can this be done?
- You'd be better off setting up 2 virtual servers, one specific to FTP on the appropriate port with tcp + ftp profiles attached, the other on a wildcard port with tcp profile only attached.

FTP traffic will use the more specific VS, all other traffic will match the wildcard.

jklemm2000I kinda figured that. I was hoping for an irule for this so I can consolidate the VS's I have. Thanks- Yeah, sorry.
We have protocol-specific profile disabling in iRules for HTTP & HTTPS, but not for FTP.
