Forwarding reCAPTCHA Verification to 3rd Party Proxy Server

We are using F5 built-in CAPTCHA Configuration feature to provide CAPTCHA from google. The clients are able to see CAPTCHA on the login page however when submitted, the error displayed “Data provided for authentication is not valid. Please try again.

For outbound internet traffic, it must go through McAfee Web Gateway. F5 can’t reach out to for CAPTCHA verification. How can I tell F5 to forward this specific URL to our proxy server (McAfee Web Gateway) for verification?

  • Howdy!

Have you solved this problem? We have the same requirement, but there seems to be little hope to channel the Re-Captcha requests through the proxy.

    Oliver.

  • There is an existing RFE addressing this point: RFE ID 535121

As usual, if you need this functionality open a case and have it linked to this RFE to increase chances of implementation.

  • We solved that in building a NAT vs for google.com and added a local host entry for google.com to that vs. Not nice, but working ;)
