Firepass login field for Joomla

Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone has run into the following:

We would like to be able to login into the firepass from our corporate website (we use joomla for this) by providing the login box from the firepass on our corporate webpage.

Did anyone did this already or is this completely new and possible.

regards

  • Hi Jurgen,

You sure can!!! You can do this in a lot of different ways and i think if you search through the archives you find out how. In summary, if you're not using a PreLogon sequence you can basically host a web page on any 3rd party web server that does a POST to your FirePass /my.activiation.php3 page. The best thing to do is to go to your FirePass logon page and save the source code of the Logon page. Host this on your 3rd party web server and modify the POST call to /my.activation.php3 to also contain your FirePass URL.

If you're implementing a PreLogon Sequence, you can configure the ending of the PreLogon Sequence to do a redirect to your 3rd party web server. I have previously posted up some code on how to handle it..if you can't find it just let me know and i'll dig it back out again.

    Cheers,

  • Hello Mal,

Thanks for your reply, I will search through the posts and will look for your posting on this.

  • Hi Jurgen,

How did you go? Did you find the posts? Check this site out - http://www.igs.vic.edu.au/my-Ivanhoe-Login.htm

If you do a view/source on this page you will see the POST to the FirePass /my.activation.php3. Hopefully this points you in the right direction. This is an example of a 3rd party website POST'ing into FirePass. Again, if you need to run PreLogon Sequences first there is a bit more trickery to it ;-)

    Cheers,
