Failed Management pack install (ver. 1.6.1 and 1.7)

So I think we have an idea of what might be wrong. After looking at the files in your GAC, we believe you are missing the CustomMarshalers.dll. My recommendation is to see if you can find this file on your system. Your .NET 2.0 is up-to-date, so the file should be there, but for some reason it didn't make it into the GAC.

 

 

On my system I found it in the C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727 folder, but it also might be in Program Files, etc. I would just open a command prompt and do a "dir /s CustomMarshalers.dll" in the C:\ base directory and see if it shows up. If you find it, you can jump to that directory and run "gacutil /I CustomMarshalers.dll". Once that dll is installed into the GAC, setup should run without a hitch.

 

 

Oh, and gacutil is typically not in your Path environment variable to begin with, but I seemed to see it in the same locations as the CustomMarshalers.dll file.
