Aug 28, 2010F5 Vmware Installation Help
hello all,
am tryin to install the virtual edition of f5 on my pc
my first vmware attempt :-)
i have vmware installed on my windows7 machine
and then i downloaded iso 'BIGIP-10.2.0.1707.0'
tried loading the iso image to the vmware ,
at the second step : it says the operating system could not be identified and i needed to add it manually later
i know its Linux , but there are too many options for me to choose , not sure which one to select - help !
should i be using freebsd ? maybe ?
any inputs beyond here are much appreciated
cheers,
Roger

It seems like 10.2.0 is not offered as trial and is compatible with VMware ESX/ESXi 4.0. I don't think you could install it in VMware Workstation/Player. - bcrogerz

10.2 is not available in trial form, but is available in lab and production versions. - bcrogerz
