When is F5 going to develop a Virtual Appliance for LTM, GTM, and other options. One of your competitors, Zeus (http://www.zeus.com/products/zxtmva/) has had one for over two years.
I am a happy F5 customer but would like more options. A virtual appliance would provide a way for customers and potential customers to demo the products with no hardware required and would be perfect for development & test environments. Zeus allows limited usage of their virtual appliance for dev/test environments for free - hint hint F5.

So 10.1 is up on downloads.f5.com. Does anyone know if there is an announcement about running it in vmware pending?
Thanks,
Aaron - Charlie_Cano_10Historic F5 AccountThe official word is that F5 will be coming out with a virtual appliance version of LTM in the near future, but no release date or other details have been announced at this time.

Personally press releases stating performance does not cut it anymore . It's better to bring in the device and software and test it in your lab with your equipment.

Do you still need to obtain a trial license from F5 for this? I noticed in the release note it states:
In the Base Registration Key box, type the registration key you obtained earlier, using upper-case only.
However I ddin't see it state how to obtain the base reg key or it even mentioned earlier in the release note. As its only a 90 day trial I don't want to start it before I've definately got time to devote to testing it if I'm only allowed one trial key etc etc
