F5 Upgrade (Hotfix)

Hi,

 

We are running with "BIG-IP 11.6.0 Build 1.62.403 Engineering Hotfix HF1" and want to upgrade to HF6. What things should i consider for upgrade. We are having LTM+ASM+APM. Does F5 support supports for upgrades?

    1. Backup the configuration on the device and if possible in another location.
    2. Depending on your support contract, you may be able to open up a pro-active ticket for code upgrade support.

    3. Make sure that your box's license date is compliant : License Check

       

    4. You are moving from one hotfix to another hotfix. Traditionally, this would have the least possible failure rate. You should be able to upgrade without any issues. I would recommend reading the release notes for the hotfix to better understand the changes.
