F5 to AWS ELB Connection feasibility

Hello I would like to know if F5 can send the traffic to AWS ELB (FQDN)? we have application URL that is going to be configured on F5 and it will need to be connecting to backend AWS ELB. since its AWS ELB, we can not use IP address, we have to use FQDN of ELB in F5

    You can register FQDN as pool member in F5. But F5 has to be able to query a resolver to retrieve the IP address of the FQDN. You need to set the right resolver setting in the F5 to make it work.

      Thank you. Is there any documentation available for this setup? we need to use the AWS ELB (FQDN) in F5 pool.

    Hi,

     

    We can configure ELB as pool member. We configured with IP address only not with FQDN.

     

    Internet >> External F5 > VIP (Public IP) --> Pool member is ELB IP --> Amazon VPC
