Most people manage alerts with SNMP trap destinations and remote syslog, and then use features in those tools to send cut tickets, send emails, etc.) since those tools are generally better suited and already used for alerting for other devices/services/applications throughout an environment

    Thanks Shaggy, figured that, but was curious what snmp mangement utilities others have had good luck with? Nagios, Zabbix, Opsview?
