Apr 22, 2014F5 GTM - 3 Column mapping table possibility
All,
I am new to F5. Is it possible to have a 3 column mapping table in GTM for traffic routing as below between datacenters (We will use these columns using custom rules to determine which Gateway Alias to be use for the incoming traffic) Thanks for the help in advance.
Store Alias----------Gateway Alias-----Custom Field
store1.rx.mir.com----if-ig.rx.mir.com--FacilityID1
store2.rx.mir.com----tx-ig.rx.mir.com--FacilityID2

GTM is a smart DNS server.. Can you rephrase your question in terms of DNS? am not sure your question is clear enough for people to be able to help you out. - JRahm

GTM iRules don't use data groups, but if you are wanting to use an LTM-based iRule on the wideIP, you could do this with data groups. one of the fields would need to be the key, then you can store the other two fields as the value with a unique separator:
store1.rx.mir.com := "if-lg.rx.mir.com FacilityID1" store2.rx.mir.com := "tx-lg.rx.mir.com FacilityID2"
