F5 Client component fails in Vista 64-bit

Hi all,

 

 

In Vista 64-bit, When I try to open a VPN session progammically, I get the following exception:

 

VPN: Exception caught opening session: COMException: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {F4B28355-8DA2-404C-BD96-B528BB4FEC5F} failed due to the following error: 80040154.

 

02/25/2010 09:15:00 Exception caught while polling: InvalidCastException: Unable to cast object of type 'System.EventArgs' to type 'System.Timers.ElapsedEventArgs'.

 

 

More details:

 

 

MY program relies on Interop.APPCTRLLib.dll to communicate with F5 device and the version of the employed Interop.APPCTRLLib.dll is 1.0.0.0.

 

the Firepass version is 6.1.0. I download the client componentby navigating to DeviceManamgement->Client Downloads->Windows(x86). In customized package, I selected the following:

 

Base Controls

 

Network Access

 

FirePass Client COM API

 

 

 

Note: I do not get the error in 32-bit host!
