F5 APM Inactive Timeout behaviour

We have many websites fronted with a combination of LTM and APM.   I'm trying to figure out what type of traffic would reset the APM Inactive Timeout settings. The manual refers to the session up...

every time a request is received by the APM, the session expiration time is updated to : 

current time + inactivity_timeout
