External VLANs

Hello, I've got a question related with F5 BIG-IP v12.1.1.1 (VE). My VMs have got 6 interfaces. For now I'm using it for management network, internal network (tagged), fail over network. And now I have to decide how connect external networks...

Please could you tell me if is it possible to have two external VLANs? Each one will be connected to dedicated network interface in Hyper-V?

Regards, Wogo

  • Basically, you can have any number of external networks. You do not necessarily need dedicated interfaces for that, VLAN tagging could be another option. For incoming connections, auto lasthop will take care about routing of the return traffic. You will need to think about which virtual must be enabled on which VLAN though.
