exporting a security policy from the history

Hello, I need assistance in exporting a security policy that has been archived in the "history". we can restore a security policy but how to export it from the history.   can this be done?   Re...

Hi George,

 

I think that you can't, the Security Policy History shows the dates and times that each policy version was applied, along with the ability to restore an earlier policy version.

 

So what I can advise you is to follow this procedure.

 

  • You have an policy (Name PolicyA)
  • Go to "Security ›› Application Security : Security Policies : Policies List".
  • Export you current policy (PolicyA)
  • restore an earlier policy version
  • Export your policy (PolicyA-from-history)
  • Then restore PolicyA.

I hope you understand the purpose. I want to restore the historical version, save it and come back as before.
