Exchange 2010 Activesync monitor issue, using Exchange iApp 1.3.0 and BIG-IP 11.5.0 Build 4.0.245 Hotfix HF4

No matter what I do on the activesync pool monitor the pool will stay in a red state. We are running Exchange 2010 SP3 UR6, all was fine until the iApp was upgraded. The pool monitor(s) are identical to another load balancer running same BIG IP build but using the older 1.2 iApp template for exchange.

send string:OPTIONS /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync/ HTTP/1.1\r\nHost: activesync.booking.com\r\n

receive string:MS-ASProtocolCommands: Sync,SendMail,SmartForward,SmartReply,GetAttachment,GetHierarchy,CreateCollection,DeleteCollection,MoveCollection,FolderSync

Anyone run into this issue?

  • did you just upgrade the iApp, why? perhaps this is related, you don't state your TMOS version https://devcentral.f5.com/s/feed/0D51T00006i7YIISA2
  • TMOS in subject...

Normally I just like to upgrade things for fun but in this case I needed to upgrade is because there is a known bug affecting my environment.

looks like its sorted now, was the way the creds are passed now when using 11.5.0 It doesnt like to base64 encode the username when in domain\username format. I matched the UPN to email and that sorted it out.
