exchange 07 and active sync

I am trying to set up active sync through our firepass 4100 to connect to our exchange 07 server. I had 03 working but I can't get 07 working since we upgraded to 07 and active sync does not work. I have changed the address to point to the new exchange CAS server but we cannot sync. Is there anything special I need on the exchange server? Do I need any other certs? I there any docs that show what is required?

Thanks

  • Hi, I'm not our company's Exchange guy. But I think we had a similar problem with Active Sync and Exchange 2007. I believe the resolution was to purchase a SSL certificate with additional Subject Alternate Names on the cert. My understanding is that SANs are a way to introduce multiple host names into a single certificate. I'll see if I can touch base with our Exchange guys to confirm and see if I can get some additional details.
  • The SSL cert I mentioned was a red herring. Here's the feedback I got from our Exchange team:

It had to do with a partnership with Exchange Powershell scripting and Activesync. There was a bug that whenever the script would run, activesync would not work. It was resolved in SP1.

  • hi, i am also facing the same issue, in Outlook 07. i just disabled all AV and pre-logon sequence in Firepass, but the issue is persisting. Please let me know when we will get the fix from support. I am working very big case for Firepass, due to that my project is keep it in hold. Anybody got the solution please let me know.
