Error with Traffic Capturing
Hi all,
I have an error message on "Captured transactions" :
Traffic Capturing is currently disabled because the log is full. Please clear the data to continue capturing.
Could you please help if you have ever met this error ?
Thank you, Sinistrad

BIG-IP Analytics will only locally log the first 1000 transactions that meet your capture criteria. (On a VIPRION system, it's 1000 transactions multiplied by the number of blades installed.) You can log these messages remotely to obtain more output.
If the local log fills up, you can clear it on the Analytics Captured Transactions screen - click CLEAR all to clear all previously captured data records (including those not displayed on the screen) and start collecting transactions again.

Hi Crodriguez,
Thank you for your response, is there any way to configure the F5 to send Traffic capturing to a log server in order to have more than only 1000 ? If not, can we configure the F5 to do a cleaning automatically after 1000 captures ?
Thank you, Sinistrad

Yes, you can indeed configure BIG-IP to log remotely, and are encouraged to do so. High speed logging is the most flexible method, and you can find manuals for configuring it at AskF5.com.
