Error 51112, Add-on Limit Exceeded - apm_access_sessions (5000)
New to F5 APM VE, trying to understand the following error (F5 knowledgebase isn't helpful).
After succesfully playing with a ‘F5 APM VE’ 30 days trial license (barley got 2 full working day’s to do what I wanted to do), requested another ‘APM VE’ trial license and this time I received a 45 days trial license, that’s very nice (30 days is jus to short, 90 days would me be more great).
After received my new 45 days trial license, decided to do a fresh install on my APM VE on my VmWare workstation platform: BIGIP-11.3.0.2806.0-scsi.ova
After the setup, I added the license and received the following error:
Error 51112, Add-on Limit Exceeded - apm_access_sessions (5000) exceeds the acceptable range for this platform or software version (BIG-IP/11.3.0/Z100) of 0 to 2501
With this error (didn't happend with the 30 days trial), it seems that the VE edition is limited on the amount of Access Session that’s is allowed to handle. Is this amount set on a config file and can I increase the sessions amount so that the license is going to be accepted?
Or F5 have to generate a proper trial license file (support desk can’t help me out, as this is a sales operative feature….).

I think you'll have to talk to your SE to get one targeted for the VE... I take it that's a real VE license you're using and not a lab edition... Although you should have an APM license on VE... It's a limited (10 user) one. Unless you want to go over 10 sessions, you should be fine to use that for experimenting.

HReal as is, a real trial license for an appliance and not by me mentioned for VE edition (I assume you mean the VE edition when speaking lab edition?).
(10 is more than adequate for my POC).Thought i could overcome this issue with altering a string in a config file.
Then have to wait for the upcoming Monday... ty for your input. - Kevin_Stewart

As of recently, I believe the "lab" VE version only supports APM lite (most likely why you're getting the license exceeded errors). Please request a 45-day license for either the 1G or 3G VE.
