NimbostratusEnabling Analytics within iApps on strict update
Good day, Just upgraded one of my vCMP guest to 11.4.1 to test the new release out. I have notice that the iApp template (f5.citrix_xenapp_xendesktop.2012_06_27.tmpl) doesn,t have the Analytics feature built-in. However, when I look into the base f5.citrix_xen_app, it is available in the code/gui.
Would it be my best bet to integrate the analytics code from the base template to the newer version with copy/paste? Any gotchas?

Your best bet is to download the current Citrix VDI template release candidate from DevCentral (https://devcentral.f5.com/wiki/iApp.Citrix-Applications.ashx). It has been through significant testing already and we expect it to be released as a fully supported template soon.
Fred_131134This is the one I have right now and the Analytics are not available on the drop-down.
I just modified the version you just mentioned above with the AVR/Analytics and the options are now showing. I will have to test it out to see if the Analytics are working as designed.

- Yeah, I spoke too quickly. There must be a reason AVR was pulled out. I will check with our Citrix solutions expert and re-post.
- The analytic portion did not seem to add much benefit for the Citrix iApp since most the interesting analytics is around ICA rather then web so we removed it from the template. I am not aware of any issues with adding it back into the template or adding a analytic profile to the iApp generated VS.
- Fred_131134Make sense, but I just want to ensure I have maximum visibility because I am preparing the ground works for a PoC with APM (See ICA proxy) and moving our Viprions to the DC followed by GTM and so on...Do you have recommendations for the Analytics around ICA?
